Tales That Curl Your Hair

Last night Kate camped out in the shark tent for the third night in a row. Last night, though, she went to bed in curlers. We'd had a mommy/Kate afternoon involving a trip to the doctor followed by a shopping trip for her to pick out a birthday gift for Sarah and ice cream. When we got home, she informed me she wanted to put curlers in her hair. What the heck. When she got up this morning and I removed the curlers, she looked like this:

I cannot even describe how thrilled she was. Oh, and there's the new cork floor in the background. I know I haven't shown the construction progress in awhile, I'll get to it...but you can kind of see...

Kate was BEAMING when I dropped her off at daycare. As soon as she walked in, the staff started making a big deal about her hair and she ate it up. She would either say "thank you," just giggle, or flip her hair. She also made sure to bounce when she ran down the hall to make her hair bounce. When she got into her class, all the girls ran up to her and they all hugged and gushed over her and her hair. Kate was in heaven.

Kate's hair looks great! Color me jealous - my hair won't take a curl no matter how much chemical curling crap is lathered in.

Nice Hollywood hair, Kate! I didn't even recognize her.
