Can she just make a whistling phoot phoot phooooooooot, or can she whistle a tune and, if the latter, what tune for the love of god? Paint us a picture, little sister; weave us a tapestry.

Lauren can do this trick. We have instituted a series of rules around this charming trick. Rule 1: All whistling practice is to occur in Lauren's room with the door closed. Rule 2: If you ever get good enough at a song you can whistle it in public. Rule 3: Mommy and I are the sole judges of whether you are good enough at a song, no go practice some more.

Yeah Lisa. Make with the 1000 word essay, like Kevin does on his blog. Weave a picture.

What's Keith doing here? I thought he was over at the Nationals Post celebrating Ro's 12th birthday. Still.

Kate can whistle a few notes but nothing I'd declare a tune. There's no accounting for taste, though.

when we were little we were told that eating bread crust helps you whistle better...we believed it...is that still the case today? lol

I don't know, Sister K, you must've been told that by people who didn't have to mop up soggy bread crumbs in your wake...only time will tell, but for now I'll take the 2-note whistling.
