Given the particular side of her brain she currently occupies, I think I can safely state that Kate would not think that was in any way the same. And, she might call you "old" and a "dork".
She would wholeheartedly agree with her cousin Ro. We went to see Star Trek, and at the end, Ellen and I recited the opening of the original TV show, word-for-word along with Spock. As we finished with, " ... to boldly go where NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE!!", Ro stood up in the theatre, and pointing down at us with the two-handed index/pinky gangsta point, yelled, "DORKS".
So you didn't notice, then, that they CHANGED the opening to "...to boldy go where no ONE has gone before!"
I mentioned it to Jeremiah at the movie (btw, how awesome was that movie?!?) and he said "they did that eons ago, like, in Next Generation". Then I pointed at Jeremiah and said "dork!"

Tell Kate that I said to STOP IT. Seriously.
