It's hot like Tahiti up in this piece and I'd been walking since 5:30AM (it was hot then, too). I think Joy and I did about 12 miles today. We spent the last 2 complaining about how much pain we were in.
So I'm home and I've finally stopped actively sweating and moved on to just stinking and I decide it's time for that wonderful prize at the end of such walks - the shower. It was everything I hoped it would be, too. But as I stood there, letting water just run all over my face, not really being mindful of the drought upon the land, I noticed that water was slowly filling the tub. It was not draining at all.
Post shower the water was still stubbornly sitting in there, looking pretty gross. So I reached for our trusty plunger. After a few seconds of listening to an un-NAFTA-related sucking sound I released the plunger. Up floated one of the girls' magnetic letters. "O". The water began to rush down the drain. So it's like that now. "Oh", I sighed.
