For this project, we're moving a lot of windows. They've gotten as far as removing them, and putting up temporary walls in the holes, but for now it just looks like we're having all the windows in the house taken out because we fear government spies. We do fear government spies, but that's because we know they don't need windows to get in.
A roof has grown up over the course of just a few days, as well. No more raining in the house! As some guys were building the roof, some other guys were putting up
walls and some other guys were putting in plumbing. One guy was supervising and some guys weren't doing anything at all.

That is so cool. Something about the way roofs of additions are tied into the existing structure is just great. You house was fantastic before, but its going to be simply magnificent. Think of all the nic-nacks you'll be able to store in that new attic space!
Someone's got to do the watching. Very important that. It's only an old wives tale that a watched addition doesn't get built.
I highly recommend stashing stuff in the walls before they put up the drywall. Bottles are cool (they have dates on them), newspapers, political stuff, coins, explosives. Wait, not explosives.
I want to stash at least 2 or 3 navity scenes in the new attic space. At least a couple of Josephs and a lamb or 2. Maybe I should store my Playboys in the walls.
I was planning on stashing a body in there, but then someone introduced me to a writer by the name of Poe...
