Gay Vacation 2010!

Tonight we are officially on vacation. Entrusted with providing kitchen music while I cooked, Jeremiah put on The Smiths and joyfully declared "we're on vacation! Time to get our gay on!" Of course, we've all been expecting this for years.

Pouring over the newly arrived National Geographic with The Smiths whining in the background, Kate decided she must go to the water park pictured in there. It's in Mumbai. We used the accompanying map to show her where Mumbai is in comparison to Georgia. She was unmoved. Perhaps the scale is misleading. She got that crazy grin and shook a little every time she looked at the picture. There's a water park 20 minutes from Atlanta but I have, for reasons known only to my deepest subconscious, always wanted to visit India.

I was very impressed when I presented the map of the world, labeled only with the names of rivers, to Kate and she accurately located North America on it. Then she corrected defined "north" to me, after guessing that Georgia was about where Columbia (the country not the city in South Carolina) is. Then she read a couple of the ads to me. Then she asked Jeremiah "why are some girls bigger than others?"

In other news, today Joy picked the girls up from school and cut their hair for me. Sarah, shades of her cousin Ro* (no, there's no end note here, she just like to spell it that way), screams like we're jamming bamboo beneath her fingernails whenever we brush her hair. It took me awhile to convince Jeremiah we should make the move, but finally he agreed. "Bob it" I told Joy. I suggested maybe she could stack it in the back, but even as I was saying it I knew Sarah would never sit still for all that nonsense. Today Jeremiah was forced to agree with me. It's crazy-adorable. Steve and Joy decided it was too formal to be called a bob and are referring to it as robert. I'm thinking we could even go shorter, but we'll see how this works out for us. Here they are with shorter hair, ready for the spring and summer warmth!

It's hard to imagine those girls being any cuter. I do love the short hair on Sarah. It's sassy!

Thanks y'all. Kevin it's mighty good to know that if she never finds a SGF she'll at least have a SGU.

i looked through the Rock City (been there, too, and loved it) pix and the Easter pix first, and was about to comment how much i love Sarah's robert. the girls are just too precious for my inadequate. i'm bummed, though, that you blew your spring break this week. was hoping i could talk you into driving down to north florida next weekend for the Wanee music festival in Live Oak. it's at a campground situated near the Suwannee River, and there are all manner of good acts performing this year. widespread, allman brothers, stephen stills, and, probably most importantly, george clinton and the p. funk allstars.

Hi all,

There is a huge choice of destinations to visit on these vacations. In fact they are so well loved that the list of places to go to is growing and growing. With more and more countries having travel agencies that arrange gay and gay friendly vacations they are certainly on the increase. Thanks for sharing it......
